NORCOR has been in contact with Northern Oregon Public Health and following Oregon Health Authority and Center for Disease Control guidelines to reduce the risk to the jail population from exposure to COVID-19.
The Oregon State Sheriff’s Association and the Oregon Jail Managers Association have been in constant contact to provide consistent care for Adults in Custody throughout Oregon’s Jails.
Currently, contact visitation of any type has been cancelled. Professional visits are being conducted through glass partitions. Our visitation/telephone provider is making every effort to assist the public to stay in contact with their family members that are in custody at NORCOR.
Our lobby is currently closed to the public. Staff will not have contact with the public with the exception of phones or intercoms. Those wishing to post bail may still do so in the lobby by calling into our control room by intercom and staff will open the door for this purpose only.
NORCOR is still accepting custodies. All persons entering the NORCOR secure area of the facility are being screened by NORCOR staff.
We have increased cleaning and disinfecting in the facility using guidelines from the Oregon Health Authority and the Center for Disease Control. We are closely monitoring anyone who reports not feeling well and consulting with our medical staff regularly.
